Grave’s Disease

Graves Disease

Graves’ Disease is an autoimmune disorder that results in the over production of thyroid hormones and most commonly affects young or middle aged women, often running in families. It is also called hyperthyroidism or an overactive thyroid.

Common symptoms include weight loss, anxiety and irritability, hyperactivity, feeling tired, sensitivity to heat, excessive sweating, persistent thirst, low libido, muscle weakness and diarrhoea. Grave’s Disease commonly affects the eyes, causing exophthalmos (bulging eyes).

“At Ellingham Nutrition, our Registered Nutritional Therapist, Annie, will support you to unravel the nutrition and dietary myths and conflicting information.”

Our fees

This service is tailored for people who aren’t able to make it into the clinic but still want one-to-one nutritional support from the comfort of their own homes and fit around your busy lifestyle.

The Ellingham Nutrition team offer consultations online via zoom, this offers you a similar experience to an in-person appointment, but the consultations will be via a secure online video instead of a face-to-face consulting room.

Our nutritional consultations can also be conducted face-to-face in our clinic. A one-to-one consultation with each client will further understand the factors affecting their nutrition and well-being.
