Menopause

Enhancing your Life During Menopause

Some women may go through menopause with few or no noticeable symptoms, but the majority of women experience a vast range of symptoms, which can be very hard to live with. Some symptoms include weight gain, hot flushes, mood swings, fatigue or low energy, anxiety and many more. Hormone replacement therapy is now widely available on the NHS and chosen by many women to support their transition through the perimenopause. However, many women prefer a natural approach and seek out a Nutritional Therapist to support them during this time.

At Ellingham Nutrition, we consider each woman as an individual and tailor our care to support not only the physical symptoms but also their emotional health too. The right balance of nutrients, as well as good hydration, stress management and exercise can make such a difference to menopausal symptoms. Although it may seem difficult at first, we will support you to make small manageable changes to help you live an enhanced and enjoyable daily life. If you are affected by bothersome peri-menopausal symptoms, why not contact Ellingham Nutrition today to see how we can support you.

“We offer a personalised and tailored approach to nutrition; instead of one-size-fits-all, we work with you to find the best nutrition and lifestyle plan for you.”

One thing to note about menopause is that it is not an illness; symptoms occur because of the fluctuating hormone levels, but a balance can be achieved with the right diet and nutrition. At Ellingham Nutrition, we aim to educate women about menopause throughout every stage of their journey; we will support them with guidance which should help them achieve optimal health in midlife.

How I work

During the nutrition consultation, we use the functional medical model to discover the possible imbalances that may be affecting your health and wellbeing. Then together we can formulate a nutrition and lifestyle plan to minimise your symptoms and support your health and wellbeing. Our aim is to work with you to find the best plan and way forward for you. We offer face-to-face consultations in our clinic as well as virtual consultations via telephone or zoom. By adopting a personalised approach we can help you feel confident both mentally and physically, so you can enjoy the best years of your life.

Our fees

This service is tailored for people who aren’t able to make it into the clinic but still want one-to-one nutritional support from the comfort of their own homes and fit around your busy lifestyle.

The Ellingham Nutrition team offer consultations online via zoom, this offers you a similar experience to an in-person appointment, but the consultations will be via a secure online video instead of a face-to-face consulting room.

Our nutritional consultations can also be conducted face-to-face in our clinic. A one-to-one consultation with each client will further understand the factors affecting their nutrition and well-being.
